The Faculty of Telecommunications, which formed the nucleus of what would become Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology, was established in 1928. Initially housed in the current location of the Electrical Engineering Faculty, the faculty's charter was approved by the National Assembly in 1929. 

The university, in its current structure, was founded in 1970 and was subsequently renamed the University of Technology in 1972. Finally, in 1978, the university was named after the renowned Iranian scholar, Khajeh Nasir Toosi. One of the key factors that sets this university apart in many fields is its strong emphasis on practical work. The university's laboratories are primarily dedicated to hands-on experimentation, rather than theoretical simulations. 

As a result, graduates of this university are highly skilled in practical applications and are quickly absorbed into the workforce. Currently, the university has an enrollment of 3,754 students, with over 2,913 undergraduates, 763 master's students, and 78 doctoral students.

K. N. Toosi University of Technology Tuition Fees

Tuition fees for international students depend on whether you choose a Degree Program (B.Sc, M.Sc or Ph.D.) or a Non-Degree Program. Degree Programs award official diplomas upon completion of all academic and research requirements. These programs typically have fixed tuition fees per semester, with additional credit-based charges. 

The estimated tuition fees per semester in Iranian Rial (IRR) and program duration are as follows: for a Bachelor's Degree, fees range from 190,000,000 to 220,000,000 and the program lasts 4 years; for a Master's Degree, fees range from 270,000,000 to 300,000,000 and the program lasts 2 years; and for a Ph.D., fees range from 570,000,000 to 600,000,000 and the program lasts 4 years. Please note that tuition fees exclude accommodation, food, and insurance.
